ARGUMENTATIVE PARAGRAPH
Contrary to Mark Twin’s idea “Writing is easy. All you have to do is cross out the wrong words.” the process of writing is difficult and implies a deep knowledge of English language to express coherent and clear ideas. In a first instance, writing requires a deep knowledge of the language because it is a process that requires the use of grammar, punctuation, syntax, spelling and proper vocabulary. Thus, the correct use of grammar, spelling and proper vocabulary are essential through the writing process, for instance, it is not the same write that a person has a decent salary to write that a person dissent his salary. Besides, some other issues related to the complexity of the language structure deal with words that make no sense, the order of the words, homophones and regional dialects. (Oxford Royale Academy, 2014) Then, there is important to write coherent and clear ideas in a way that anybody can understand view points in a text keeping unity and cohesion between the transition of ideas in each paragraph. Therefore, the necessity to write in first person and write in an informal way using for example slang instead of idioms should be avoided while writing an academic paper. This is a good practice to write down a first draft, stop the writing process and days later reread that first draft to make corrections and clarify the ideas that the writer wants to communicate. (Whittlestone, 2016) In conclusion, writing certainly is not easy and should consider choosing the proper words, spelling those well and writing coherent ideas on sentences.References
